On Hairlength, Hairstyles and Boyfriend Pleasures
There’s a song during college that I remember until now, its title is “Senti” by Yano. It talks about a girl who seeks the company of her guy friend who has a secret crush on her. She is crying why? Her boyfriend left her because he hated her new hair-do. The song ends with the guy friend telling the girl his feelings… “Does he love you? Does he really love you?? You see, I … I love you. I really, really love you.”
Imagine a budding relationship going smoothly (or so you thought) until you, in a moment of weakness and under extreme peer pressure, decided to cut your long, straight, silky hair and dye it a bright, neon fuschia pink. Is it just coincidence that your boyfriend for three months suddenly decided that he needed time off, prompting you to ask, “Is it the hair?”. Of course, he will say all sorts of things, from being pressured by school work, financial difficulties and other such mundane excuses.
Well, guess what, seeress, your initial gut feeling could be dead on correct…
It’s The Hair!!!
Women’s Hair Styles have turned men on and off throughout the centuries. It could be due to culture, religion or simply preference. For example, there is an unhealthy preponderance of men who like girls with long hair. The more evil ones will say that maybe men need long hair for some naughty hair pulling activities.
My theory is this: men like girls with well-maintained long-ish hair because some of them don’t really have what it takes to grow and maintain one. Unless they live the rockstar lifestyle (with hairdressers helping them every single day), it just takes too much effort to perm, condition and hot oil.
The Pros and Cons of Hairlength
Short hair styles- I am pro-short! It’s easy to maintain, wash and go, and will remain out of sight beneath a bonnet… leaving our nape and neck exposed for kissing. Some will contend that girls with shorter hair styles will look boyish. If that’s his case, add some bling and girly thingies to obtain that softer feminine look, even with short hair.

Long Hairstyles - Because the BF likes long-ish hairstyles in women, I have kept and maintained my below shoulder level hair (what we do for these men eh?). You can attach so many nice things to long hair, like scoonjies (frilly hair band) and shok-shoks (hair clamp). Sadly, my experience with long hair taught me that if it splits, you will have to cut… so make sure it doesn’t by
- not tying it up when it’s wet, and
- using a wide toothed comb
