Evilwoobie is now No-Follow Free! (Comment Policy)
It took a google PR update to make me curious about no-follow and what it does in the internet. I then proceeded to dissect my blog and found that comments in evilwoobie.com are not no-follow free!
What does this mean?
A no-follow attribute to a link (in a comment) means that the person commenting will not be rewarded for putting his link on your blog. We all know the importance of links to rankings, and in fact some would even pay to get those.
Guilt or Purely “I Never Knew”?
A combination of both guilt and the fact that I was clueless to this thing can be blamed for the no-follow links in my comment section. Now, however, I have decided to correct that.
A commenter may get a no-follow FREE link only after posting a certain number of comments. I will not reveal the exact number, but it should be enough to encourage those who visit to comment regularly, and for those who comment once because of this attribute but are here only for this feature to not take advantage.
Important
In relation to that last line, it is now a part of my comment policy (yes I had that all along, in my head) to delete and edit spam and unruly comments that don’t really add to the discussion.
Thanks for commenting!
