Budget Valentines: 5 Tips and Ideas for a Great Valentines Date
I’ve heard it said that men feel naked when they approach women without lots of cash in their pockets (or at least a non-maxed out credit card). This Boston.com article on dating during a recession drove home the point… men are pretty scared to date without cash, because they want to be able to pay for a woman’s dinner.
Come on now, it’s Valentines! Go on a date! There are a lot of things men can do with their girlfriends or potential dates that won’t cost much.
Here are some ideas
1. The Picnic Walk. Prepare for a day out simply talking. Pack some sandwiches and have fun listening to each other talk about random things.
2. Go photo hunting together. Bring your cam with you and take photos of things on your photohunt list. You can have these printed out later. You can turn this into Valentine’s post cards for giving away.
3. Plan your time capsule. If you really like this person and you know you will last as friends and lovers, why not create a time capsule you can open together after a few years (or decades). Regardless of how things turn out, your time capsule will be the thing that you created together.
4. Print out my French Kiss tutorial and practice each technique. You can practice all day if you want.
5. Paint her in the nude. Say this line out loud “for the sake of art!”. Tell her you woke up and felt the urge to be artistic. Ask her to pose for you when you invite her over. Buy a sketchpad, some crayons and pens… and start creating a masterpiece!
Sometimes, we get caught up in the “material” things that aren’t really that important for a date to be successful. Sure, we like to dress up and play the “fine dining” roleplay together, but the real essence of going out is being able to share ideas, hugs and kisses with someone you care about.

Yeah it’s hilarious, but it’s kinda cute, too
the best dates are the cheapest. always. you just need a little creativity and imagination. but hey, there’s a lot of romance comedy movies out there to get an idea that could probably be worth it.
still, as a man, it’s always safe to bring the dough. just in case.
