Lip Play: How to Start a French Kiss
One of the most important elements of seduction and dating is the first kiss. This can make her fall in love, this canmake him love you more, and this can convey feelings of tenderness. One of the most basic things you need to do when you start a relationship is kiss.
When done right, it sends signals of sensuality, promises of better things to come and messages of being “the One”. AskMen describes one of the most elusive types of kisses, the one that sends shivers down a lady’s spine.
My own version of “how to French Kiss” centers on the start of the kissing. The way your lips are poised right before kissing your partner, and your reasons for initiating the kiss will determine how deep and how long the French Kiss will be.
The deepening kiss, a.k.a the lingering smooch, happens only after the initial phase of the kiss.
3 Ways to Start the Perfect French Kiss (P.F.K.)
Note: There is a resource on french kissing online that I would like you to try. It’s called Kissing 101 and it’s written by this pretty girl named Michelle. Check it out here.
1. The Soft Pucker
With the intention of saying goodbye (e.g. after a date) or saying hello to a lover or FWB (friends with benefits), you gently press your lips together and push outward.
how-to: The trick to this is to push out using the muscles around your lips, NOT your lip muscles. This way, your lips are soft and welcoming, and not sharp or “too puckered”. You can let the kiss linger until both you and your partner feel the need to open your lips and let your tongues do the talking.
P.F.K. Potential: low to medium high.
This is a kiss that replaces “hello” or “goodbye”, and while it will make the person feel tingly all over, it needs following up. Maybe you can progress by trying the Lower Lip Nibble or the Consensual Kiss-fest (read below).
2. The Lower Lip Nibble
Best done when the kiss is one-way, like when you kiss your boyfriend or girlfriend and he or she simply takes it. You know that time when you’re apologizing and you’ve made up, but he or she still won’t talk? This kiss is the best way to get that emotional P.F.K. This will also spell the difference between making up and really making up (and eventually, making out).
how-to: Think of how you would nibble the curvy top off an ice cream cone before you start to really eat the ice cream. No teeth, all lip movement. Now, apply that to the way you would nibble your partner’s lower lip (which, by the way, is set in a tight little pout). Don’t suck too hard, though. Just playfully tease the lower lip to dislodge the pout.
P.F.K. Potential: High
This is a tender kiss that sends out a message of affection. You are inadvertently coaxing the other person to respond to the kiss simply by repeatedly playing with his or her lower (or upper) lip. You just have to wait for your partner to respond and voila! … P.F.K!
3. Consensual Kiss-fest
Simply put, you and your partner want it… bad! Best executed in private, usually towards the end of your date. There’s nothing safe, tender or shy about this kiss. The driving force behind it is raw, molten passion… which will lead to love making or swooning.
how-to: Angle your head and start with your lips partially open. This is the slightly open variation of the Soft Pucker, but with a little tongue involved at the very start. The trick to this kiss is the texture of your lips. Moisten your lips before going for it and make sure that you pucker up enough to avoid teeth gnashing.
P.F.K. Potential: Extremely High
This type of kiss will lead to sex, or more consensual kiss-fests. The couples who engage in this type of kiss forget everything and everyone around them. In their own world, nothing else matters but their longing for each other. You will often see this type of kiss in the airport, when one spouse leaves to work abroad; or in the Lovapalooza, a kiss-fest tradition here in Manila, Philippines held during Valentine’s day.
