Review of the Theme: Kukote in a Jar

Kukote in a Jar is a creation of a fellow filipino named macuha. I like this theme because the image at the right stays with the reader even after scrolling down.

This theme is perfect for a story-type blog. You can simply put the chapter/episode numbers at the sidebar on the right as categories and the reader can focus on the writing more than the image (which is a static one). Loading-wise this also works as the only image that will load is the background one, if your blog is all-text type that is.

The tip: don’t put any image on your posts that could compete with the background image. Make sure that the background image is an all-encompasing one for all the topics in your blog. Also, keep the text in your image minimal so it won’t compete with the text in the blog body.

This theme is also perfect for text potfolios and resumes. Simply use the different aspects of the biodata as categories, and your own photograph as background image. Cool!
