Here I go posting about Chris Crocker. I actually caught this video while it was on the rise in You Tube, but managed to restrain myself from writing about it because… well because I actually felt for the guy. Funny?

Attention, Chris Crocker, this post isn’t about Britney or how she made people lose their appetite with her performance in this years’ VMA. It’s about you. Or, more aptly, it’s about how your heartfelt plea for your idol got you famous (infamous).

Chris Crocker is famous now, and people are also making money off him. Does that perhaps make him feel closer to his idol, sharing the limelight? I know how it feels to be obsessed, I can’t blame the guy for feeling this way. But critics will be critics and Britney DID make a fool of herself at VMA.

The video he made in defense of Britney accomplished one thing: it made people very curious as to what really happened at VMA, how bad the performance was, and how much of Britney’s talent was there left after her abuse of alcohol and what-not. This wasn’t the original intention of Chris Crocker, I suppose, but like all impulsive ideas, it burst all over the place.
